About

The Friends of St Swithun's Church was founded in 2006 to help in the preservation of the historic, architectural, archaeological and environmental heritage of this beautiful building, for the benefit of the nation and particularly the people of Worcestershire.

external-shot-2.jpgSt Swithun's Church, Worcester is located in the heart of the City and has been in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) since 1977. The Friends of St Swithun’s (FOSS) and volunteers keep the church open and have established a venue for cultural activities including the Three Choirs Festival and organ recitals featuring the rare 1795 Grade I William and Robert Gray organ.

St Swithun’s Church building is a near complete Grade I listed Georgian church. A nationally significant building, the CCT, and FOSS have been working to develop a new use for this space. This is so that it can be kept in open and active community use.

To support the CCT, FOSS – or to help as a volunteer with events and open days, please view our Events or Committee Members page for more information.
